Evelyn Bryant Newton, 86, of Danville, died August 27, 2012 in the Danville Regional Medical Center. She was born September 25, 1925 in Pittsylvania County, the daughter Charlie Monroe Bryant and Annie Talbott Bryant. She worked for Dan River Mills. She was predeceased by her husband, John H. Newton. Survivors include three sons: Rev. Roy Newton, John David Newton, Jimmy Newton; two daughters: Janice Inman and Michelle Scarce. She was also predeceased by three daughters: Pearl Wright, Louise Johnson, and Darlene Newton.
Interment will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
