Funeral service for Minnie Beatrice (Reynolds) Robertson, 94, Cement, will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the Cyril First Baptist Church with Reverend Charles Echols officiating. Burial will follow at the Cement Cemetery under the direction of the Fletcher Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Robertson passed away Monday, December 3, 2012 in Chickasha. She was 94 years, 10 months, and 15 days old.

Minnie Beatrice "Bea" (Reynolds) Robertson was born January 18, 1918 in Bristow, Oklahoma to George and Melvina (Hopkins) Reynolds. As a child in Bristow, she picked cotton with her brothers and sisters before moving to Fletcher in a covered wagon. Bea graduated from Fletcher High School in 1937. After graduation, Bea worked as a waitress until she married Baxter Taylor in 1940. The two were married for 25 years when he passed away in 1965. Together they had 3 children. Soon after her husband passed away, Bea began working as a civil servant clerk typist at Ft. Sill until she retired. She married J.V. Robertson on August 19, 1972 in Cement. They had been married for 40 years. Bea was a member of the International Association of Rebekah Assemblies. She attended the Cement and Cyril Baptist Churches where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. Bea was an avid writer and enjoyed composing songs and poetry all her life. Bea and J.V. liked to play dominos with their domino group and playing other games such as horseshoes. She loved God, her family, and friends. She was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her husband, J.V. Robertson, of the home; 3 sons: Vernon Taylor of Oklahoma City, Jay Robertson and his wife Shirley of Idaho, and Keith Robertson and his wife Brenda of Chickasha; 3 daughters: Shirley Stokholm and her husband Paul of California, Joy Kilgour and her husband Glen of Oklahoma City, and Becky Teel and her husband David of Rocky Ford, OK; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Baxter Taylor; 1 daughter, Linda Taylor; 2 brothers: Paul and Jack Reynolds; 4 sisters: Florence Clifton, Zora Mullenix, Nellie Rury, and Lorene Gammell; and 1 granddaughter, Deborah Taylor.
