Dorothy Jean CRANE, 79, Logansport, died at 3 p.m., Monday, at her residence. Born to Ross David and Ruth WINEGARDNER HELMS in Twelve Mile, she married Donald F. CRANE on Aug. 18, 1939 in Logansport. He preceded her in death on May 9, 1968. Mrs. Crane was retired from Hart Schaffner & Marx, Rochester. She was a member of the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church and the Niddee Shrine Guild. Survivors include. one son, Michael D. CRANE, Goshen; thre brothers, Hollis F. HELMS and Larry Edward HELMS, both of Logansport, and Tom HELMS Galveston; five sisters, Lena DILLMAN SKINNER, Logansport, Ann MORRETT and Lois BOWERS, both of Rochester, Mary GALLAHAN, Peru and Elsie STRASSER, Twelve Mile; one grandson, Todd CRANE; granddaughters, Kelly [CRANE] and Tracey CRANE; one great-grandson; four great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by son, Stephen P. CRANE, a brother, John HELMS, and a sister, Rose Marie HELMS.
Services: 2 p.m. Thursday at Fisher Puneral Chapel, Logansport, with Rev. Pam RUCKER officiating. Burial: Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
