Barbara J Harvey aka Mimi, age 82, resident of Sandy Creek, passed away on July 7, 2020, following a brief illness.
She was born August 14, 1937 in Fort Myers Florida to Cleveland and Betty Anderson McConnell. The family lived on various military bases, including seven years in the Philippines. She graduated from Sandy Creek Central School in 1955.
Barbara was active for years with the fire department auxiliary, was an Oswego County election inspector and was an avid Yankee fan. She loved spending time in her home with all her family and her dog, Isabella.
Barbara is survived by eight children: Brian Killam, Gretchen Digby (Odett Ferguson), John (Shawn) Killam, Gena (David) Rice, Christopher (Teresa) Harvey, Erica (Donald) Goodnough, Heidi (Mick) Mothersell and Chad (Aimee) Harvey. Mimi leaves behind seventeen dearly loved grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren (with more on the way),a sister Mary Manwaring of Oswego, sister-in-laws Grace Lasell, Shirley Lasell and Jeannette Harvey, many nieces and nephews.
Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Mark Harvey, her parents, two sisters and a brother.
A graveside service will be held at the Woodlawn Cemetery at 3:00pm, Friday, July 10th, 2020. Masks and social distancing apply.
