Mrs. Carrie Haugen RUSHFORD, MtaL (Special)—Mrs. Carrie Haugen; 83, died Thursday afternoon at St. Francis Hospital, La Crosse, where she had been a patient two weeks. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Rushford Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 7 to ? p.m. at the Jensen Funeral Home. Born in Norway, June 29, 1871, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Staaland. She came to the United States at the age of 21 and was married to Ole Haugen in 1880; The couple observed its golden anniversary in 1940. Haugen died in 1949.
Mrs. Haugen resided in the Rushford area most j of her life after arriving in this country. Surviving ar e : F our sons ; Th omas, 727 w. Howard St. w Winona; George and Elmer, both of La CroBse, and Walter, Rushford; five daughters, Mrs. Henry Moran,] Portland, Ore.; Mrs. Elizabeth
