LA VERN HUBBARD,
PROMINENT LOCAL
RESIDENT, DIES
One of Bradford's most prominent
Men, La Vern Hubbard, retired ice
cream manufacturer and oil producer,
died at 5:30 o'clock yesterday mor-
ning at his home, 91 Kennedy street,
after an illness of one week. Deceased
had been in ill health for the past
& years owing to a paralytic stroke.
Born in Sherman, N. Y.. in 1873,
fc. Hubbard came to Bradford with
his parents when he was four years
and had resided her ever since
over 14 years he was engaged in the
ice cream business with his father,

of business, from which

"^T*" a member of the First Presby-
terian church, the Odd Fellows and
was survived by his widow, Anna B. Hubbard: one son, James Hubbard from this city: one daughter
Mrs. Tallman Ladd. of j. Pa.; one brother, L. E.

Funeral services will be held from
thee home tomorrow afternoon at
1:30 o'clock, the Rev. F. Dean Miller,
