Carolyn Amanda Orr Hollingsworth, daughter of the late James Fidell Orr and Estelle Elizabeth Stepp Orr, passed away at the Life Care Center in Hendersonville on December 2, 2012, after a long illness. She went to be with her Lord and Savior, who she loved and served.
Carolyn was the widow of Gordon Hollingsworth, he died in 1979. Her brother, Harold Orr, and her sister, Maxine Orr Gossett predeceased her in death.
She is survived by her two children, Vivian H. Guice and her son Jerry Hollingsworth and his wife, Shaw of Hendersonville, North Carolina, Grandchildren, Mark Guice, Brent Guice and Major Joshua Wells; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maudeen Orr Allison and Lucille Orr Laughter.
Carolyn was a life long Etowah Resident. She was employed at Ruth Originals in Hendersonville, N. C.
Visitation and Services for Carolyn will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Etowah Baptist Church in which she was a faithful member, keeping the infant nursery for years and was a member of the Bereavement committee.
Following the Funeral service, Carolyn will be laid to Rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Hendersonville, Henderson County, North Carolina.
