Survived by his mother (died 2017 and is buried in a different section of this cemetery); five brothers; and one sister.
Served in the U. S. Naval Reserves for 23 years. Scout Master of Troop #506 for more than 33 years. He personally achieved the Silver Beaver, highest scouting award; it was presented by ex-Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, acting on behalf of Senator Bob Dole.
