Linda F. Gauthier East China Twp. Linda F. Gauthier, age 63, died December 2, 2012. She was born October 22, 1949 to Harold and Gladys Colman. Linda waitressed at the St. Clair Inn for 24 years. She is survived by her husband; John Gauthier, daughter; Krista Gauthier, best friend and granddaughter; Jayda Frances Gauthier, mother; Gladys Colman, sisters; Connie Martin, Kathy (Chris) Skocy and Janet (Dan) Huff and brothers; Dale (Mary) Colman, Steve Colman and Gary (Kathy) Colman. She was predeceased by her father Harold Colman. Funeral services will be held Saturday December 8th at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours are Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family. www.youngcolonial.com


CLAY TWP. — The Clay Township Police Department is investigating a fatal accident that occurred Sunday night.

Linda Gauthier, 63, of East China Township, was driving a 1994 Chevrolet Caprice about 8:47 p.m. around a curve on Stone Road between Field and Cemetery roads when the vehicle slid into a ditch and flipped over, striking a utility pole, according to a news release.


Gauthier was pronounced dead at the scene.


No other vehicles were involved in the crash. Police do not believe alcohol was a factor.


The crash is under investigation.
