Vanessa Marie Buckles-Stewart, 49, of 3600 Cold Springs Road, Concord, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, at CMC-Main in Charlotte.
Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
She was born on May 6, 1960, in Cabarrus County to the late John Lefler and the late Emma Dulin Lefler. She was a graduate of Central Cabarrus High School and a mail carrier with over 20 years of service with the U.S. Postal Service.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Ray Stewart; sons, Tony Buckles Jr. and wife, Felicia, and J. P. Buckles and wife, Brandi, all of Concord; daughter, Tabitha Buckles, of Gold Hill; brother, Sam Morris, of Concord; sisters, Patty Shaw, of Asheboro, and Laura Morris, of Concord; grandchildren, Eric, Jacob, Xander, Cory and Logan; 10 nieces and nephews; and five great-nieces and nephews.
