WELBON, Henry G., born September 28, 1904 in Seoul, Korea of missionary parents and died in his sleep December 11, 1999 of heart disease. His family and friends are comforted in that he has joined in heaven Dorothy, his beloved wife of 67 years, who preceded him in death by four months. He faithfully cared for her until her death and the day before his own death took to the printer his life long project of a Welbon family history. His work was done. Left behind are daughters, Betsy Alwood (John) of Lewes, DE; and Priscilla Ewy (Gordon) of Tucson; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, December 14 at EVERGREEN MORTUARY from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. and a funeral on Wednesday, December 15 at Desert Springs Presbyterian Church at 2:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the University of Arizona Sarver Heart Center, 1501 N. Campbell Ave., 85724.
