Virginia Smiley Snider, 80, of Lexington, died Friday, December 10, 1993, at her home. Mrs. Snider was born December 30, 1912, in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Alexander Walker Smiley and Estaline Smiley. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, the East Lexington Home Demonstration Club, the Sam Houston Ruritan Club and the Fairfield Senior Citizens Club. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Harley S. Craft and John W. Snider. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William H. Craft, Lexington, S.C., Mr. and Mrs. Robert P. Craft, Dumfries, Va.; five sisters, Mrs. Lena Hutchins, Middlebrook, Va., Mrs. Clara Richie, Raphine, Va., Miss Ruby Smiley, Spottswood, Va., Mrs. Helen McCormick, Buena Vista, Va., Mrs. Glady Fitzgerald, Staunton, Va.; three grandchildren, Kelly L. Craft, Colin P. Craft, Megan J. Craft. She will also be missed by special friends. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, December 13, 1993, at the Harrison Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Kenneth K. Patrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Rockbridge Area Hospice, P.O. Box 100, Lexington, Va. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday, at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
