Teri Lynn (Kortie) Johnson, 45, of Barnum, Minn., passed away Sunday, Sept. 4, 2005 as a result of a motorcycle accident.
She was born Aug. 12, 1960 in Duluth to Lewis ''Bill'' and Barbara (Parchem) Kortie and graduated from Cloquet High School in 1978.
Teri had worked for Spies Grocery for many years, and also as a secretary at the Middle School in Cloquet. She was currently working at Carmen's Restaurant in Cloquet. Teri enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, being in the outdoors, camping, hunting with her family, and especially motorcycling and taking many motorcycle trips with her husband. She was a great daughter, wife, and mother and will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
Teri was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Kortie; paternal grandparents, William and Dorothy Kortie; maternal grandfather, Henry Parchem; and maternal step-grandfather, Gerald Cool.
Teri is survived by her husband, Kerry; one son, Jeremiah; one daughter, Jessie; her parents, Lewis William ''Bill'' and Barb Kortie of Cloquet; one brother, Paul Kortie; one sister, Jennifer Rowell; maternal grandmother, Marcella Cool; one nephew, Michael Tisdell; and two nieces, Kristine Tisdell and Kerra Rowell.
VISITATION:12 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005 until the 1 p.m. memorial service in Zion Lutheran Church in Cloquet. The family has selected Nelson Funeral Care to assist them with arrangements. See online guest book at www.legacy.com.
