Vivian, LA – Funeral services celebrating the life of Charles R. "Bud" Brumley, Sr. will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Vivian, La with Rev Mark Crook pastor of Trees Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Good Exchange Cemetery in McLeod, TX. The family will have a time of visitation on Tuesday, December 4th from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Brumley was born on May 10, 1935 in Vivian, LA to James and Idelia Brumley and passed away December 3, 2012 at his residence after a sudden illness. He was a floor man for B & J Floor Service with 40 years of service, and was affiliated with the Baptist Church.
Mr. Brumley was preceded in death by his wife, Sally Brumley, daughter, Susie Brumley, parents, James and Idelia Brumley, brothers, John and his wife Roberta Brumley, Albert and his wife, Dottie Brumley, sister, Erma Wheeler, and great granddaughter, Sarah Pollitt.
He is survived by his son: Charles (Ray) Brumley, Jr and wife, Theresa of Blanchard, LA, foster son; John Weed and wife, Dawn of Texarkana, TX, daughters, Dossie Bryant of Vivian, LA and Laura (Snooks) Lafitte and husband, Rodney of Blanchard, LA, 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Mr. Brumley is also survived by his sisters, Helen Capers of Fullerton, CA, Virginia Langley of Highland, CA and Pat Hodge and husband, Truett of Monroe, LA.
