Migration: Left Pennsylvania for Lincoln Co., NC /arrived abt.1747. Settled 3 miles east of Newton NC.
Simon is buried in the Haas Cemetery in Catawba with other members of his family.
Note: Jacob Haase, died age 94 years, 4 Jul 1844, Morgan County, Indiana, buried Sand Creek, Washington Twp, Morgan Co., IN . He was the son of Jacob Haas. His father died 1798 Lincoln Co., NC.
Not the first time for argument about the age of Jacob O. Haas.
Married: Mary "Polly Kelso, daughter of Alexander Kelso and Margaret Balch abt. 1796 NC.
