Munch, Walter A. Walter A Munch of Joliet passed away November 30, 2012 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, following a brief illness. He was born January 24, 1924. Walter is survived by three children, David (Joyce) Munch, Catherine (George) Passas and Brian (Carol) Munch; one sister, Marilyn Skarin; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of forty four years, Betty (1991); parents, Walter and Dorothy (Berlin) Munch and a brother, Lloyd (2004). Walter was a WWII Navy Veteran serving in the South Pacific and a Life Member of V.F.W. Cantigny Post #367. He retired from Unocal after 32 years as an Electrical Engineer and was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Joliet. Visitation and services were held on Tuesday December 4, 2012 at Our Savior Lutheran Church. Interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials to Our Savior Lutheran Church and Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
