PLATTSBURGH — Mr. Arthur H. Reeves, 74, of Hickory Street in Plattsburgh, died on Thursday, Nov. 29.
He was born in Plattsburgh on Aug. 8, 1938, the son of the late Arthur and Florence (Macey) Reeves.
Arthur was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling, going to the casino, and spending time with his family and his two dogs, Ottie and Zoey.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Donna (Spear) Reeves; his children and their spouses, Charlene and Skip Liberty, Wayne and Darcy Reeves, Susan and John Bradley, Kim Devins and companion Kenny Bombard, Christina "Snuffer" and Joe Guido, all of Peru; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Eleanor Reeves of Beekmantown; a sister and brother-in-law, Roberta and Ken Burke of Plattsburgh, a "crap load" of grandkids; great-grandkids; and several nieces and nephews. A sister, Marie LaBombard, died earlier.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 3, at Our Lady of Victory Church. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. A reception will follow at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 309, Route 22B in Peru.
Memorial donations may be offered to the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, NY 12901 (518) 561-3980.
