Beldon Marshall Allen, age 78, of Burkesville, Ky., passed away on Sunday December 2, 2012 at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Ky. He was born in Cumberland County, Kentucky on Sunday February 4, 1934 the son of Harve and Meldie Owens Allen. He was a member of Palestine United Methodist Church, a farmer, and a member of the Coon Hunting Club. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, James Allen and Horace Allen, his infant brother, Glen Allen, his sister, Margie Young and his son-in-law, Mark Collins. He is survived by his wife, Christine Riddle Allen of Burkesville, Ky., his children, Donna Allen of Burkesville, Kentucky, Tammy (and Kenny) Hurt of Burkesville, Kentucky, Kelly Collins of Celina, Tennessee, Terry (and Robin) Poindexter of O'Fallon, Illinois, Jimmie (and David) Bean of Burkesville, Kentucky, Libbie (and John) Drake of Frankfort, Kentucky, his brothers and sister, Roy (and Christella) Allen of New Castle, Indiana, Clifton (and Drusilla) Allen of Burkesville, Kentucky, Reba (and Doug) Martin of Campbellsville, Kentucky, and Lola Hale of Glasgow, Kentucky, his grandchildren, Barbara Jo Wright, Christy Hunt, Alisha Wheat, Waylon Riddle, Adam Poindexter, Sarah Bean, Hannah Drake, Megan Drake, and Palmer Drake, his great-grandchildren, Jacob Wright and Carly Beth Hunt, and his great-great-grandchild, Connor Wright. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Ky. Burial will be in the Rose of Sharon Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, December 3, 2012 after 1:00 p.m. at Norris-New Funeral Home until time of service on Tuesday.
