Elizabeth (Cerrillo) Keene, 82, of Pleasant Valley passed away Friday (Sept. 21, 2012) at the Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, Ky.
She was born Aug. 6, 1930, in Harlan, Ky., daughter of the late Jesus Cerrillo Sr. and Soledad (Mendez) Cerrillo.
Elizabeth was formerly a beautician and retired from Tygart Valley Foodland. She was an avid reader, gardener and volunteer at the Soup Opera.
She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Cerrillo of Charleston, and Pam Keener Fraley and husband Michael of Winchester, Ky.; a brother, Jesus V. "Jess" Cerrillo Jr. and wife Carolyn of Grove City, Ohio; two step-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Conner Fraley; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Keene on May 27, 2010; two sisters, Dolores Grandstaff and Frances Narog.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Jennifer Taylor for all her love, support and patience with all their questions and concerns. Debbie and Pam also extend their heartfelt gratitude to Carla Hivley for her compassion and care she provided for their mother.
The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave., Fairmont from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday. The service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be sent to the family on line at www.domicofh.com.
