Mrs. Rogers, 78, a former Cañon City resident, died April 7, 2001, at a local care center. She was a homemaker. She was also a bookkeeper and overseas clerk for many years at Cowan Moving and Storage.
Mrs. Rogers was born Nov. 5, 1922, in Marshfield, Mo., to William Edgar and Fannie Bell (Stutsman) Criger, who are deceased. She was married April 19, 1947, to James L. Rogers, who is deceased.
She is survived by a son, a daughter, two brothers, a sister, five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses. Entombment will be at Shrine of Remembrance, Gate of Heaven Mausoleum.
