DORSET - Services for Ernest Tifft, 64, of Milford, Conn formerly of Dorset, who died at a New Haven, Conn. hospital Saturday after a long illness, will be held at the Congregational Church here Tuesday at 2 pm.
The Rev. Herbert Petty will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Born in Dorset, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar F. Tifft, who survive him. He lived here until 14 years ago when he went to Milford, where he was employed by the Hershey Manufacturing Company.
While in Dorset, he served as road commissioner for many years.
Surviving him besides his parents, are his wife, the former Bessie Reed, a son, Roy of Bridgeport, Conn., a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Drake of Clifton Park, N.Y., four brothers, Levi of Hebron, N.Y., and Kimball, Oliver and Alfred of Dorset, four sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Jones of Dorset, Mrs. Alene Ennis of East Arlington, Mrs. Alice King of Arlington and Mrs. Manora Walsh of Pittsfield, Mass, and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Brewster Funeral Home in Manchester today from 7 to 9 pm.
