Dale G. Hale, 68, Rt. 1, Orfordville, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 1979, in the Rock Haven Nursing Home, Janesville.

Born June 19, 1910, in Lafayette County, he was the son of William and Edna Gierhart Hale. His marriage to the former Clara Hendrickson took place Feb. 7, 1931 in Blanchardville. She died in 1974.

The deceased had farmed in the Clinton area for many years prior to moving to the Orfordville area. He was a member of the Jefferson Prairie Lutheran Church.

Survivors are three sons, Don, Clinton; Alvin, Brodhead; and Roger, Carthage, Fla.; three daughters, Mrs. Donald Strom, Fort Atkinson; Mrs. Fred Krehoff, Beloit; and Miss Suzanne Hale, Orfordville; three brothers, Elton, St. Paul, Minn.; Howard, Darlington; and Floyd, St. Paul, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Clifford (Zola) Olson, Blanchardville; and Mrs. Marguerite Wenger, Monroe; six half-brothers and half-sisters, and 14 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a sister.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 20, in the Chilson-Schoenfeld Funeral Home, Beloit, with Pastor Glenn Nycklemoe officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe.

A memorial fund has been established.
