Fenke Brass immigrated from Hanover, Prussia, Germany. Hanover is a state of Germany not to be confused with the city of Hanover. Hanover belonged to the Prussian Empire at that time. However the area that the Buss family and all their ancesters came from is Ostfriesland.
She married Johann (John) Buss on May 4, 1863 in Stephenson County, Illinois. It is said they had 5 farms when they retired. Together they had 10 children. Dick, Joe, Reint, Tipka, Alka, Rena, Margaret, John J., Henry J., Fannie. She passed away at the age of 84. (bio added by aritha buss)
