OLE GULLICKSEN DIES AT 81; A LEADER IN BUSINESS, CIVIC LIFE
Ole Gullicksen, 81, of Clavey lane, Highland Park, founder and president of the Churchill Cabinet company and active in numerous business and civic organizations, died yesterday in Norwegian American hospital.
Mr. Gullicksen was born in Porsrund, Norway, and came to America at an early age, founding the Churchill company in 1904. He was a director of the Illinois Manufacturers association, the Lumbermen's Mutual Casualty company, Central National bank, past president and treasurer of the Chicago Furniture Manufacturers association and a trustee of the Norwegian American hospital.
Surviving are five sons, Owen L., Spencer T., Rowland H., Willard A., and Gordon O.; three daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Heimerle, Mrs. Ruth Byrne, and Mrs. Marguerite Breyer; 18 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. The body will be in the chapel at 4338 Fullerton av. from 5 p.m. today. Services will be held in the chapel at 2 p.m. Tuesday, with burial in Forest Home Cemetery.
