Shirley Ann Baumhover, age 59, of Carroll passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 2, 2007 at her home in Carroll. Born on January 11, 1948 in Carroll, she was the daughter of Fred and Helen (Lammers) Baumhover. She grew up in Westminster, Colorado where she attended school. The family moved back to Carroll in1968. Shirley worked at General Electric in Carroll beginning at the time it opened through its closing. She also was employed by Wal-Mart, Sam's Cafe and Carroll Manor Nursing Home. She was a member of the St. Anthony Regional Hospital Auxiliary. Surviving are her son Fred of Carroll; a grandson Cody Jons of Elkhart, Iowa; three sisters: Joan Hansman and her husband Louis of Carroll, Cindy Brockman and her husband Kim of Arcadia, and Debra McFarland and her husband Bruce of Grandview, Missouri; two brothers: Larry Baumhover of Colorado, and Steven Baumhover and his wife Joan of Dedham; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, November 8, 2007 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with Father James McCormick of Holy Spirit Catholic Church officiating. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 5:00 P.M. on Monday where there will be a prayer service held at 7:00 P.M. Burial will be in the Carroll City Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Marty Baumhover, Marcus Brockman, Matt Brockman, Joe Hansman, Lou Hansman, and Kim Brockman.
