0f Louisa St. Broadway, Virginia passed away Friday night in his home of complications due to liver cancer.
Mr. Chinn was born in Beltsville, Maryland Dec. 4, 1909.
The son of Annie Shifflet-Chinn and John F. Chinn
He was a retired operating engineer for Metro in Washington DC. He was former chief of Riverdale, Maryland Fire Dept. Where he was a volunteer fireman for over 20 years.
Wayne enjoyed baseball games. Being a clown in parades with Riverdale Fire dept. Also many years of "playing" Santa.
On Dec, 23, 1928 he married Margaret Edna Derr who preceded him in death on Dec. 17. 1983 after 55 years of marriage.
Also preceding him in death are a son: Wayne Andrew Chinn Jr 1933-1953 and a daughter Virginia Rebecca Chinn de Silva 1930 - 1974.
Surviving are a daughter, Dorothy Rachel Pultz of Broadway, Va and a sister, Lois Cline of Palmyra, Pa.
8 grandchildren--Brenda, Robby, Gary & Chris Pultz.
Cathy ,Connie, Steve de Silva & Joseph W. Watson. 10 great grandchildren.
Wayne will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Graveside service will be 11:00 AM Sept 26. 1988 @ Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
