Funeral services for Mr. Vernon Gene
Tucker, age 65, of Petersburg will be
conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at
Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Don
McCullough officiating Burial will follow
in Stewart Cemetery.

Mr. Tucker died Tuesday morning at
his residence. He was a native of
Madison Co, Ala. and the son of the
late Wilburn Darnell and Neva Lorene
Brooks Tucker. He was a veteran of the
Vietnam War and a member of the
Church of Christ.

Mr. Tucker was a retired custodian with
the Marshall County High School and
also worked at Gowan Shell for 23 years
and ran Tucker's Hideaway in Petersburg.

Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Faye
Smith Tucker of Petersburg; daughter
Debbie Kay Tucker Hunter and husband
Gill of Lewisburg; three brothers, Billy
Tucker of Al., Bobby Tucker of Nashville,
and Charles Tucker; two grandchildren,
Marshall and Colton Hunter of Lewisburg.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday
evening 5-8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
