She was a native of Scott County, a homemaker, and a member of First Baptist Church of Weber City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Babb Sr.; daughters, Shelby Jean Babb and Brenda Babb; parents, Jay Kelly and Delphia Pierson Haynes; sister, Lucille Jennings; and brothers, J.K. Haynes and Jay Clyde Haynes.
Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Eddie Henry, and Kathy and Dave Wilson, all of Kingsport; sons and daughter-in-law, Buddy Babb, Weber City, Va., and Gary and Brenda Babb, Bedford, Va.; grandchildren, Mike Castle, Shannon Babb, Adam Babb, Mathew Donihe, Logan Donihe, Chris Kennedy and Chuck Henry; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. John (Edith) Cox, Mrs. Dorothy McKenzie, and Mrs. Carl (June) Peters, all of Weber City, Va.; brother, Glenn Haynes, Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Scott County Funeral Home, Weber City, and anytime at the residence.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Dean Smith officiating.
Music will be provided by the First Baptist Choir and Andrea Sheppard.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Holston View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kay Gibson, H.B. Williams, Bill Babb, Swannie Hall, David Hill, and Joe Bellamy.
Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Tuesday to go to the cemetery in procession.
