Daisy L. Darling, 78, of 5015 N. Edgebrook Drive died at 3:35 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 1992, at her residence.
Born Sept. 7, 1913, in Peoria to Isaiah N. and Kate M. Ellison Skeen, she married Sylvester Darling on March 25, 1972, in Peoria. He died June 17, 1987. One brother and one half brother also preceded her in death.
Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Herman (Ruth) Bill and Florence McGinley, both of Peoria, Delia Garrison of Milwaukee and Mrs. James (Ethel) Barnes of Needles, Calif.
She owned and operated the former Crawley Electrical Contracting Co. in Peoria, retiring in 1955. She was an active member of Pilot Club International since 1949, and was president of Peoria Pilot Club. She was governor and lieutenant governor of the Midwest District of the Pilot Club and served two years as director on the Pilot International Executive Board.
She was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, where services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Robert Livingston will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel, with a Scripture service at 8. Additional visitation will be a half-hour before services at the church. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum.
