Irene B. Snyder, 88, of Nampa, died Friday, November 30, 2012, at an assisted care facility in Nampa.
She was born July 3, 1924 to Mary and Steve Woznick in Wilton, ND, 7th child of 9. She married Haroldean Butcher in 1945 and raised two children Greg and Lori in Portland, OR.
She worked for many years as a clerk for Safeway and Fred Meyer's then retired in 1976 to Bend, OR until the passing of Haroldean (Bud) in 1982. She then moved to Caldwell, ID to be closer to her family where she was an active member of the Eagle's Lodge and she enjoyed helping with many fund raisers until her health declined.
She is survived by her brothers, Larry Woznick and Greg Woznick; her son, Greg Butcher, of Caldwell; her daughter, Lori Alexander, of Nampa; three granddaughters and a grandson, Travis Perdue and family, of Alabama, Kayti Bauer, of Middleton, Jaymi Howard, of Nampa, and Breanne Zoeller, whom recently moved to Golden Valley ND, near the town of Wilton, ND where her grandmother Irene grew up and went to school. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Joshlin Bauer, 5 years old, and Cooper Howard, 22 months old, that were G.G's pride and joy.
A memorial graveside service will be at 2:00PM on Friday, December 14, 2012, at Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell.
