Jesse James "Jake" Jacobs Jr. 86 of Mexico Mo. passed away Saturday December 1, 2012 at Golden Living Center, Pin Oaks.

Services wll b held on Wedbesday December 5, 2013 at 10;30 am. at Arnold Funeral Home with REV. Robert H. Marty officiating. Burial wll follow at East Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation is Tuesday evening from 5-7p.m. and Wesay morning from 9;30-10;30a.m. at Arnold Funeral Home.

Jake was born in McBaine Mo. on April 6, 1926 the on of Jesse James Jacobs and Daisy Dean (Smith) Jacobs, He was the tenth of twelc=ve children, On Aprl 19, 1959 he married Pasty Karney in Fulton MO. she survves of the home.

Jake worked in the transportation buisness a number of years. He drove forForbis Brothers outof Columnia Mo. and for theMayflower Trucking out of Jefferson City Mo. Upon moving to mexico in 1970 he worked for Mexico Public Schools from 1970 until his retiement in 1991. He was honoed with the Pioneer in Edcation Award for his dedication and service to the students and patrons of the school district. He served the school dstrict for 2 years.

He was interested in sports esecially high school wrestling, basketball, trac and baseball. He enjoyed spending time with hs family traveling and attending country music shows.

In addition to his wife, Pat surviving a son Jesse Dale Jacobs and Lydia of Columbia Mo. a daughter, Donetta Jacobs Wilson and erry ofWwo Mo. granddaughter, Savanna Wilson and a sister, Gladys Louise Connr of Boonville Mo. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews.
