GLOVERVILLE - Larry Q. Posey died Friday, March 12,1993 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Mr. Posey, 78, resided at 230 Hickory Street. The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday in the Gloverville First Baptist Church, with the Revs. Joe Youngblood and Hoyt Murray officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Langley. A native of Aiken County, Mr. Posey was the son of the late Leland Posey and Bessie Hallman Posey. He was a member of Gloverville First Baptist Church, the church's Men's Bible Class, a member of the Albert Pike Masonic Lodge No. 174 AFM, and past Worshipful Master of the Albert Pike Masonic Lodge No. 174 AFM. Survivors include his wife, Pearl Burbage Posey of Gloverville; his stepmother, Maria Wagoner of West Grove, Pa., a son, Jerry T. Posey of Lexington; a daughter, Kay Chriswell of Gloverville; a sister, Mildred Johnson of New Holland, S.C.; a half-brother, Tom Posey of West Grove, Pa.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two step-greatgrandchildren. Pallbearers will be Elmore M. Attaway, Woodrow R. Burbage, James H. Corley, Curtis R. Johnson, Delma Roberson, and Everett R. Smith. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Gloverville First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 157, Gloverville, S.C. 29828.
