Gary was a huge IU sports fan. He was a family man and his grandkids were his greatest enjoyment. He liked to tinker with automobiles. He attended the First Baptist Church of Huntington.
He was born on January 23, 1956 in Huntington, a son of Bobby W. and Donna M. (Martz) Rodgers.
Survivors include a daughter: Farrah Moore of Chicago; a brother: Dave (Diana) Ditton of Roann; three sisters: Theresa (Joseph) Bradin of Huntington; Deb (Archie) Haney of Bippus; Lisa Case of Huntington; four grandchildren: Dylan, Cody, Katie and Caleb Hamilton.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Donna Ditton; stepfather: Charles Ditton and his father: Bob Rodgers.
There will be no public visitation.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Interment will take place at the Star of Hope Cemetery.
