Mrs. Hewett was born in Brunswick County on October 19, 1919 and was the daughter of the late Herman Dan Fulford and Lovie Jane Caison Fulford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Walker Hewett on December 25, 1987. She enjoyed bowling, heading shrimp and shopping. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed time working in her yard. She was a member of Sabbath Home Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Toy Lane Johnson of Supply; two sisters, Vera Carlisle, Marie DelRe' of Supply; three grandchildren, Robin and husband Mike, Lynette, Bevin and wife Tiffany; six grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, and a special friend Barbara Hardin of Supply.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday December 4, 2012 at 2pm at Sabbath Home Baptist Church with Reverend Wade McLamb and Reverend Chris Swiatocho officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
