Per his death certificate found on Ancestry.com: he was a son of James T Bradley, born in Kershaw Co., S.C., and Della Johnson, born in S.C. and the husband of May Baughman. He was a textile weaver. He died at Columbia Hospital of congestive heart failure, peripheral circulatory collapse and shock. The informant was Mrs. Inez Baughman of 823 8th St., Olympia, S.C.

Found in The State 02 July 1938: James Charlie Bradley, 33, of 823 Eighth street, Olympia, died at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the Columbia hospital after an illness of six months. Mr. Bradley had been a life-long resident of Olympia, where he was connected with the Olympia mills. He leaves many friends in that community who will be saddened to hear of his death. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ineze Baughman Bradley; one daughter, Mary Joyce Bradley, both of Columbia; two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Baker of Great Falls, Mrs. Ethel Robinson of Columbia; also one brother, Luther Bradley of Columbia.
