Mr. Turner L. Mozo, 83, went home to be with The Lord November 24, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. Turner was born in Chiefland, Florida to Mae Belle and Lee Mozo and was predeceased by his parents, brothers James and Roland Mozo, and sister Margola Knight. He is survived by his loving wife Sara of 61 years; 2 sons: Steve (Mary Ellen) & Mike; 2 daughters: Nancy Taylor (Mike), Brenda Wright (Donnie); 1 brother: Bennie (Barbara); 6 grandchildren; Max (Stacey), Mathew (Jennifer), Christen, Brittany, Lindsey and Alyssa; 3 great grandchildren: Moira, Mason, and Waylon Turner; step grandchildren D.J. and Cailyn and many nieces, nephews and close friends. Turner graduated from Berry College in 1951 with a B.S. Degree in Business and was then drafted into the Army where he proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict. He loved his country and admired our flag wherever he saw it flying. He retired from S.C.M. Corp. in 1979 and from Bisbee Baldwin Corp. in 1995 as an Accountant/Controller at both companies. Turner enjoyed many family gatherings and activities with his children, grandchildren, extended family and many friends. He was a lover of nature and God s beautiful creation and enjoyed traveling abroad, to National Parks, and beautiful places in the U.S. He loved sailing and sail-ins with his friends of Fleet 35 Sail Club and also enjoyed attending Berry College and Gulf Hammock annual reunions. Our sincere thanks and appreciation to Mayo Clinic s staff of doctors and nurses and also Northeast Florida Community Hospice, who took care of Turner with great compassion and dedication. He was a long time member of North Jacksonville Baptist Church, 8531 N. Main Street, where Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 3, 2012, with Rev. Chris Coram, Rev. Billy Turner and Rev. Duane Erickson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services.
