Funeral for Lloyd A. Sparks will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel in Vancouver. Mr. Sparks, who was 61, died Sunday in a Vancouver care center. Interment will be in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Sparks was born in Wallace, Neb., and had lived in Vancouver for 37 years. He was a carpenter for Harlen's Drywall Co. He was a member of Trinity Bible Church in Portland and served with the Army's 503rd parachute infantry regiment during World War II.

Surviving Mr. Sparks are his wife, Pauline of Vancouver; sons, David of Vancouver, Lloyd A. Jr. of Debrecen, Hungary, and Glen of Dallas, Texas; daughters, Susan Kettles of Corvallis, Ore., and Annie Jones of Fareham, England; brothers, Duane Clough of McCook, Neb., and Ward Clough of Otis, Colo.; a sister, Dolores Sides of Grant, Neb., and 10 grandchildren.

The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to the building fund of Trinity Bible Church, 11456 N.E. Knott, Portland.
