Delilah was the daughter of John and Judith Turner Bradley and the granddaughter of Abraham and Sarah Bradley of Greenville County, South Carolina.
She married Henry Davis about 1840 in South Carolina and was the mother of three sons. These sons were John Paschal, Warren Ransom and William H. Davis.
Delilah Bradley Davis was a member of the Reedy River Baptist Church in Greenville County, South Carolina. She joined this church by experience in 1832 and received a letter of dismissal on 9 Sept 1848. Evidently this was in preparation of her move to Georgia.
The book "Official History of Whitfield Co., GA" pages 92-93 states that Mr. and Mrs. Henry Davis were charter members of the First Baptist Church in Dalton, Georgia which was organized in 1847. According to this book, they took the church communion service to Union Springs, Alabama for safe keeping during the Civil War.
Although her headstone only lists years of birth and death, complete dates were given by family members.
