Paul "PR" Ranzie Coffey, 75, of Raceland KY., passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 1, 2012, at home with his family by his side.

Paul was born March 8, 1937, in Naples, KY., to the late Langley and Rosa Sarks Coffey.

Paul was the owner of Paul Coffey Construction beginning in 1966 at the young age of 25. He started from scratch and worked his way up building and molding bridges, roads, football fields ect. He was well known for 1,000 acre Industrial Park in Cannonsburg KY called the "Paul Coffey Industrial Park" Paul enjoyed meeting people in his lifetime, and was lucky enough to meet people such as Bob Hope, Andy Williams, Dolly Parton, Crystal Gale, and the President of Mexico. He was a helpful man and would do anything for anybody if he had the opportunity to. Paul also enjoyed laughing and telling jokes but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Besides his parents Mr. Coffey was preceded in death by one sister Lena Hawkins, one brother Wendell Coffey, and two-twin great-grandsons, Landon Dean Ferguson and Derrik Lee Ferguson.
A caring and devoted family is left behind to mourn his passing including his loving and devoted wife Virginia Coffey of 54 years, one son Kevin (Lynn) Coffey of Russell, KY., one daughter Rebecca (Jeff) Ferguson of Catlettsburg, KY., two brothers Ronald Coffee of Ashland, KY., and Curtis Coffey of Flatwoods, KY., five sisters, Christine Hamilton of Wurtland, KY., Marie Potter of Greenup, KY., Lula Danner of Flatwoods, KY., Beulah Faye Hensley of Argillite, KY., and Grace Woods of Greenup, KY., five grandchildren, Anthony (Laura) Ferguson, Adam(Laura) Ferguson, Jonathan(Lindsay) Ferguson, Kristen Coffey, and Amy Coffey, two great-grandchildren, Katelyn Ferguson and Mya Ferguson and a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends will all greatly miss him.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2012, Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods, with words of comfort delivered by Bishop James R. Daniels and Rev. Jeff Ferguson. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods KY.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
