Son of Everett "Mike" Brazelton & Grace Kelso

Virgil W. 'Bill' Brazelton, 94, of Chrisman, passed away, June 29, 2022. Born on February 28, 1928 in Brocton, Illinos, he was the son of Grace and Mike Brazelton. He married his high school sweetheart, Joan Crum of Brocton, IL, on June 1, 1947, at the Brocton Christian Church.
He is survived by three children; also six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Bill has one surviving sibling living in Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 72 years, and two brothers, Elmer & Everett.
Bill attended a one-room schoolhouse east of Brocton, IL, graduating from Brocton High School. He and Joan were very active in their local church. In his early years, Bill was employed as a farmer; he retired from Lebanon Chemical Company in Danville, IL. Bill was a big Illini fan, enjoying basketball and football the most; he loved playing cards and loved winning even more. He will be remembered for his smiles, good humor, and the happy days.
