Daniel S. Ochoa, 59, of Seeley passed away of natural causes Wednesday, February 28 at his residence.

He was born November 30, 1947 is Maricopa, Arizona and married Ernestine Ochoa on June 20, 1972. Daniel was retired after 20 years of service with the INS as a cook. He served in the Vietnam War from 1968-1971 and was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9305. Danny was known as a caring and giving man. He also played the sax at church. Danny will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 7 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Apostolic Assembly, 427 S. Hope Street in El Centro.

A military service will commence at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 8 at Apostolic Assembly in El Centro with Reverend Armando Barientos officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Manuela G. Salcido; father, Enrique G. Salcido and brother, Leo Ortega.

Danny is survived by his wife, Ernestine Ochoa; daughters, Esther Castillo, April Ochoa and Elizabeth Ochoa; son, Daniel Ochoa Jr.; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Miguel Jr., Daniel III, Erika, Jessica, Sabrina and much more extended family.
