Leonard Vance Martin, 70, Mt. Vernon, Mo., formerly of Champaign-Urbana, died at 3 p.m. Friday (April 25, 1969) in Mt. Vernon.
Services and burial will be Monday morning in Mt. Vernon.
Mr. Martin was born Jan 1, 1899, in Champaign, son of the late Water and Genevieve Vance Martin. He was educated in Urbana schools.
He fought in Germany during World War I in Battery B, 124th Field Artillery 33rd Division of the US Army. After the war he lived for a time in Chicago and then moved to Kentucky, where he was employed by Carnation Milk Co.
Mr. Martin moved to Mt. Vernon after his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Flossie, of Mt. Vernon; a brother-in-law, Oscar Adams Sr, 607 W Washington, U, a niece and nephew in Urbana and four cousins in Champaign.
