Thomas M. Parks was born in Marion County, Ill. April 27, 1853. He died at Dr. Kennedy's Sanitarium, Winthrop, Apr. 13, 1912, where he had been a sufferer for two weeks with Bright's Disease.

He lived in Marion County Ill., until the fall of 1875. He was united in marriage to Agnes Eaton Dec. 11, 1878, who died Feb. 1896.

To their union six children were born, all living but one, the survivers being as follows: Maggie Jeneroe, Perry, Okla., Buena Parks, Wichita Falls, Texas; Tommy Parks, Rollings, Wyoming; Clarence Parks, Everton, Missouri and Miles Parks, Delphos, Kansas.

He was again united in marriage to Gertie Myers of Delphos, Nov. 7, 1904. To this union one child was born, Roy Parks. His funeral took place April 16 at the M.E. Church, conducted by G.S. Smith, assisted by Rev. Newton, interment being in Delphos Cemetery.
