Grace Pauline Terry, 78, of Shawnee, passed away, Sunday, November 25, 2012 at her home.
Grace was born March 29, 1934 to Leo, Sr. and Grace (Hunter) Hite in Woodbine, Iowa.
She was raised in Missouri Valley, Iowa where she attended school and graduated from High School.
Grace married Gary Terry on May 7, 1996 in Laughlin, Nevada.
She worked on the assembly line for General Motors in Detroit, MI until her retirement in 1986.
Grace was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Shawnee and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW in Scottsdale, AZ.
She enjoyed vegetable gardening, running "Granny's Vegetable Garden" and was known for the best homegrown tomatoes in this area. She loved her dogs, Snuggles and Fancy.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Grace Hite. She was also preceded in death by brothers Clarence E. McCardie (December, 1994), Charles W.Hite (2005)and sisters Ruth (Hite) Sadis (December 25, 1999); Joan Marie Hite, infant (1942)
She is survived by her husband, Gary Terry, of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and John Tuffs, of Allen Park, MI and Shirley "Mitzi" and Jerry DeAngelis, Redington Beach, FL; 4 sisters, Shirley Depa, of Dearborn Heights, MI, Betty Harrington, of Scottsdale, AZ, Harriet Hite, of Colorado and Elnora Drake, of Council Bluff, IA; brother, Robert Hite, of San Francisco, CA; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.
Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 3, 2012 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Henry officiating. Committal Service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Roby Funeral Home, Plattsmouth, Nebraska. Burial will follow at Oak Hills Cemetery in Plattsmouth, Nebraska.
