James Adam Proctor 1939-2018
James Adam Proctor, 79, passed away at his home on August 6, 2018, surrounded by his loved ones. He leaves behind his daughter and son-in-law, Dianna and Jody Armstrong; son, Brian Proctor; step-daughters: Beverly Smegelski, Patricia Carter and Kathy Kahler III; grandchildren: Jeffery Parker, Kristina Parker, Kevin Parker, Amanda Brewton, Evangalyn Carter, Hobart "Matt" Carter IV, Lucy Carter, Paige Kahler-Placide and Asher Kahler III; great-grandchildren: KrisAdara Aurora Sainte Parker and Adalyn Jade Parker, Kalyn, Mackenzie, and Mattisyn Carter, Patton McIntyer, Carson Brewton, Katherine Placide, and Neveah and Aiden Kahler; numerous nieces and nephews and beloved neighbors Kevin and Becky Brown. Mr. Proctor was preceded in death by his wife, Donnie Ray Proctor, his parents, John and Leda Proctor and brothers John "Woody" Proctor and Eugene Proctor. He enjoyed bowling, woodworking and travelling with his wife, Donnie. He was an avid Florida Gators fan. Mr. Proctor retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of dedicated service. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Pensacola, immediately followed by a service. Interment will take place at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home.
