Carlene E. Smith, 80, of Riesel, entered into rest Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012. Services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 2, at Adams Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Frank Downes and Brother Travis Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Kosse Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, at Adams Funeral Home.
Carlene Estell was born in McLennan County, Texas, to the late Elmer Carl and Nettie Estell Stone Smith. She retired from J.C. Penney after many years of service. She loved to crochet and to have lunch every month with her friends from J.C. Penney.
Carlene was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Alice Potts and Billie Ruth Vanek.
Survivors include her sister, Allene Sandhoff and husband, Donald, of Grapevine; and numerous nieces and nephews.
