Blanche B. Prose, 96, of Morrisonville died Monday, July 16, 2001, in Heritage Manor in Pana.
She was born March 4, 1905, in Morrisonville, the daughter of Oscar and Hattie Mack White. She married Nelson S. "Pete" Prose in 1927 in Morrisonville. She and her husband operated Prize Oil Co. for many years. She was a member of Morrisonville United Methodist Church and was a member of Kiwanis Club, Civic Janes and Morrisonville Community Club.
Surviving are her son, Nelson Mack (wife Sandra) Prose of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren: Karen (husband Richard) Thompsen of St. Joseph, Greg (wife DeEtta) Prose of Virginia Beach, VA, and Lisa (husband Joseph) Wilkinson of Pensacola, FL; four great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda Walker of Morrisonville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Jesse White and sisters: Mary Cress and Rosella Stephenson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, July 19, in the Morrisonville United Methodist Church, with Rev. David Glahn and Rev. Steve Burwell officiating. Burial will be in Morrisonville Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, July 18, in Moffitt Funeral Home and for one hour prior to services in the church on Thursday.
