Ina Ethel Bonney was born in Greenwood, Maine to Arthur McClellan Bonney and Mary Elizabeth Herrick. She married Ernest O. Tuerke in 1909. Tuerke was a soldier at Fort Williams near Portland, where Ina's brother-in-law John Cameron was lighthouse keeper. Two known children by that marriage are Elsa and Ernest. In 1927 Ina married William W. Elwell, a farmer of Scarborough, Maine. She had three sons by Mr. Elwell, who died in 1934. Ina was back in Portland by 1935. In 1960 she wed William A. Stratton.
