Steven Charles Barrett, 50, of Columbus, Ohio, died Monday (Nov. 26, 2012) at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born May 11, 1962, in Marietta to Charles and Dorothy Woodruff Barrett.

He was a 1980 graduate of Marietta High School. Following high school, he pursued other education and employment in Columbus. Steven was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Columbus.

His pride and joy were his two nieces, Morgan Wells of Harrisburg, Pa. and Elizabeth Wells of Marietta. He is also survived by his parents; his two sisters, Kimberly Barrett of Columbus, and Cheryl Wells of Marietta; and maternal grandmother, Mary Strauss Woodruff of Marietta. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Silas Woodruff and Carroll and Clara Kestermier Barrett.

Burial will be in New St. Mary's Cemetery. There will be a tribute and celebration of life for Steven held in Columbus on Sunday (Dec. 2).
