William Harvey Rhodus, one of sixteen children born to Hiram Willis Rhodus and Montory Caroline Berry Rhodus, was father himself to ten children. He was born and raised in Pike County, MS. It is believed that he also lived in Washington Parish, LA before he moved to Livingston Parish, LA to live. He and his wife, Basha Stogner Rhodus, bought property immediately off Highway 190 outside of Holden, LA in 1957 where they raised their children.
He was a pipefitter for the Ethyl Corporation, now known as Albermarle until he retired in 1983.
Both he and his wife passed away at the Seventh Ward General Hospital, also known as North Oaks, in Hammond, LA of heart attacks.
They are missed by their living children,
Charlotte Ann Rhodus, and her children and grandchildren
Esther Ruth Rhodus Mike and her daughter, Dawn, mother of little miss Haleigh Madison Le Blanc
Paul Harvey Rhodus and his children and grandchildren
Rebecca Rhodus Harrison and her children and grandchildren
David Rhodus and his daughter Heather
Hiram preceded his parents in death
Grace Elizabeth Rhodus Phillips Pellisero and her children and grandchildren
Rachael Naomi Rhodus and her children and grandchildren
Seymon Aaron Rhodus and his son Timothy
and their baby son Henry Jacob Rhodus.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Walker, LA
